The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) reports to the CEO. The CSO leads the development, and implementation of Ovvi’s strategic plan, and capacity building. This leadership team member focuses on the organization’s goals and develops innovative approaches, makes the business case for strategic initiatives, and measures and monitors the outcomes. The incumbent identifies current and future needs and influences internal and external stakeholders to broaden Ovvi’s role as a premier solution provider in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for formalizing Ovvi’s strategic planning process. Leads the development of the strategy as well as communicating and translating it for colleagues across the organization. Assesses whether strategic initiatives, at all levels are in line with the company's standards and objectives (socializes Ovvi’s strategy with executives and key stakeholders). Validates that the day-to-day activities of the company support those initiatives.
  • Business Development - Analyzes the market to identify projects, ventures, potential targets and other partnership opportunities. Looks for revenue generating opportunities
  • Identify strategic risk and develop plans to reduce risk. Lead efforts to allow the company to mitigate risk such as regulatory or competitive risks through innovative business ideas and solutions.
  • Leads major strategic initiatives that across various disciplines in the organization
  • Leads company acquisition/divestiture strategy and execution

Skills & Requirements

Proven track record of leadership in the POS industry
